About this site

If you want new and exciting music this is where you need to look. This little cubby hole of wonderment will provide any reader with handfuls of sparkling new bands causing a fuss under and above ground in the ever changing music scene. POW!

Find me on

Have you ever had a song that is so addictive you just cant get it out your head? Well if you haven’t you will very soon. Miike Snow is a Swedish dace pop group formed in 2007. Surprisingly not one person in the band is called Mike or has the surname Snow but this doesn’t matter. Christian Karlsson, Pontus Winnberg, and Andrew Wyatt have just produce the sound for the summer with their track “Paddling Out”.Whether you want cheering up, a good dance or just simply want to listen to some good music this track makes you smile and tap your feet (and in these depressing times we need a bit of happiness).

If you love bands like Delphic, Django Django or early Calvin Harris this track is for you. I was singing the chorus so loud in the car today i think anyone looking on might have thought I was a bit “special” but you just have to with this song. It will make people who haven’t walked stand up and jiggle themselves all over the place lets hope the album out later this year will be also good as this.

Alex Winston is a rising star in the music biz, originating from Detroit, USA this lady should be under everyone’s magnifying glass for 2012. With the “Bestival” and “Isle of Wight festival’s” crowds won over by her heartfelt, warm vocals and incredibly catchy choruses, we are all left wanting more.

Alex clearly has allot of influences from all different types of music. But the blues and swing tones to her songs come through clear as day, making her very comparable to acts such as Emelda May, and Rebecca Ferguson (the one from the X Factor sing-a-along). However this is without a doubt not a bad thing, with fans such as Hew Stephens, and Jen Long (both Radio 1 DJs) she is destined to catch a glimmer of some lime light in 2012.

This track is called “Velvet Elvis” expertly showcasing her first class talent. I hope you enjoy her as much as I do.

King Charles - Bam Bam by King Charles (Official)
This is bouncing and exciting sound of King Charles a London Based solo artist who last year was touring with Mumford and Sons and most recently was played on Hew Stephens Radio1 show. His song “Bam Bam”  is probably the most catchy, happy and enjoyable song i have heard in the last six months  and is busy pulsating around my head as i write this. King Charles himself is the perfect image of a hipster and is clearly obsessed with being different. I feel personally that his music style is very varied and he plays a verity of different styles and “Bam Bam” is clearly the most upbeat of the collection. His song “O’England” is definitely a perfect example of his versatility.
He doesn’t really sound like anyone around at the moment so im not going to compare him. I would say that if you like bands like Hot Hot Heat, Noah and The Whale, and Foals you are almost definitely going to enjoy his fresh sound and look on life.
