Hang on a second while we grab that post for you.
If you want new and exciting music this is where you need to look. This little cubby hole of wonderment will provide any reader with handfuls of sparkling new bands causing a fuss under and above ground in the ever changing music scene. POW!
Just close your eyes and listen. This is the Fantastic London four-piece called “Torches” with their track “Close Ups” a cover of the “Crushed Beaks” single which was released last year. By adjusting the pase and feel of the song Torches have created a piece of music which would not seem out of place on any established artists album. Its brilliant and cleaver mix of loud and quiet allows the listener to hear the lyrics emotion whist being thrown a musical onslaught later in the track.
Currently unsigned the band are looking for their big break and this could very well be it. With an album to be expected late this year or early next year they will be one of the bands to watch out for this summer. Undoubtedly appearing on many stages at this summers festivals. With fans like Django Django this group will not be stuck in other bands shadows for much longer as their sound is both defined and infectious. The deep throated vocals sound like a mixture between Editors and Hurts, and if you like either of these groups you will surely be adding “Torches” to your iTunes.
I would love to see what this group has to offer the live music scene and will try to see them over the summer. This type of mellow, dance, rock is very much popular now so surely big things are yet to come.
Check out more of their music here on their very stylish looking website. Enjoy.
Have you ever had a song that is so addictive you just cant get it out your head? Well if you haven’t you will very soon. Miike Snow is a Swedish dace pop group formed in 2007. Surprisingly not one person in the band is called Mike or has the surname Snow but this doesn’t matter. Christian Karlsson, Pontus Winnberg, and Andrew Wyatt have just produce the sound for the summer with their track “Paddling Out”.Whether you want cheering up, a good dance or just simply want to listen to some good music this track makes you smile and tap your feet (and in these depressing times we need a bit of happiness).
If you love bands like Delphic, Django Django or early Calvin Harris this track is for you. I was singing the chorus so loud in the car today i think anyone looking on might have thought I was a bit “special” but you just have to with this song. It will make people who haven’t walked stand up and jiggle themselves all over the place lets hope the album out later this year will be also good as this.

Well I need some good gritty rock in my day today and what better way to fulfil that need by listening to the fantastic “Waters” or Van Pierszalowski and Co as they are known. Originating from San Francisco Van P had little success with his previous band Port O’Brein and struggled to get people to listen. Waters is very much his last attempt to hit it big and from the sounds of his début album “Out in the Light”, everything might have finally clicked into place.
With growling guitars and broken vocals the rustic charm of Waters shines through both lyrically and musically. You could compare him to the likes of Bear Hands, White Strips and Feeder. Currently on a world tour and set to tour with Delta Spirit later in the year Waters will be very busy for some time to come. The track above is called “For the One” and is one of many tracks on their album that is just awesome.
You can listen to more of his sweet music here I know you will want more than this so you can also download a free copy of “For The One” there as well. GET ON IT.
Prepare yourself for an onslaught of fun and boptastic tuneage heading your way. The track above is by the brilliant and hotly tipped “Django Django” a London foursome with some serious fire-power and synth-crushing addictiveness.
Having formed in 2009 at art school in Edinburgh, and released their début album on the 30th January this year the band have had a busy time generating hype and creating an image for themselves. They have mass appeal to me for the following reasons;
1) Do not have baby faces and are therefore older than me.
2) Make some sweet music.
3) Have a growing respect for facial hair.
With these three critical elements in one group the last three years have passed with a blur, and their tour has just sold out all over the UK. They are set to grace many a stage up and down the country so if you can go see them.
If you are fans of Ghostpoet, Polinski or Worship I suggest you check these guys out before they explode into the mainstream. If you like the sound of this be sure to to check out what else they have to have offer on their website here. Enjoy :D
My dearest followers and fellow blogerinians this is easily the best thing i have heard in a long, long, long, long, time. I have blogged about the Sheffield foursome 65daysofstatic before, (check it out here) but as with recorded music it sometimes is not clear the level of amazingness that is afoot. This was released by 65dos and Beatcast TV yesterday and is just oosing with masterful qualities, making you look on in sheer awe. With their trademark do it all the hard way attitude and willingness to explore music to the depths of despair 65dos offer something completely different and spectacular. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have the last couple of days :)

I cordially invite you to listen to the magical and pragmatic “Sleep Party People”. Performing in their distinctive white rabbit masks Sleep Party People have been making music to nurture your ears and make you question why all music is not like this.
This Danish group is the work of Brian Batz a man obsessed with dark fairytales and magic working together to create his unique sound. Having recently been signed to “Blood and Biscuits” the same label as Three Trapped Tigers and Gallops, the UK live music scene is sure to take a beating by this very special outfit.
If you like your music to encompass the boundaries of dark rock and electronica, they are most definitely the band for you. Fans of 65daysofstatic, TTT, Nedry, Sigur Ros and Amusement Parks on Fire will not want to miss them gracing stages this year.
The Track above is taken from their first album released in 2010, its called “Ten Feet Up” and shows you exactly why this group needs to be made a fuss of. And for an extra bonus I have included a live video of them performing a track called “I’m Not Human At All” which they recorded for the ” X Sessions” in Denmark. It really gives you a good feel for the band and gives you an idea of what to expect from their UK tour later this year.

Pulled Apart By Horses are back! The Leeds four-piece return with their second album “Tough Love” following up to their amazing self titled début. “Tough Love” encapsulates what PABH are all about perfectly, with “loud” being the order of the day. If you listen to this on headphones or full pelt on speakers you will not be disappointed.
With rock music of recent being quite a morbid affair the Fun-factor has most definitely bee brought back into it with this album. Tracks like “Epic Myth” and “Some Mothers” being both funny and made for air guitaring. You will be bouncing off the walls listening to this and smiling all the way through.
The above Track is called “V.E.N.O.M.” and when hearing this earlier in 2011 I was not sure if I liked it or not, but this much improved album version is to be put another way BADASS, and ticks all the boxes. If you want the energy of Gallows mixed with the fun of a bans like Bowling for soup and New found glory PABH are definitely the band for you.
